English walnut from Turkey
Originating in Asia, Turkish Walnut (Juglans regia) grows in many regions and goes by many names. Such as English walnut, Persian walnut, and French walnut being the most common. Growing in the uniquely harsh climates causes this species of walnut to grow slow and become more dense than other walnuts of the same species. All slabs have been steamed, air dried for years and kiln dried.
